Updated 2016-01-04: There’s a newer Netgear driver that works on Windows 10, as well as a way to force installation without Test Mode. Ignore the comments about IRQLUNEXPECTEDVALUE blue screens, those relate to the old Belkin driver. Some old LG TV models did not have integrated Wi-Fi, instead requiring the AN-WF100 USB Wi-Fi adapter. This adapter has a standard Broadcom chip, and can be used on a Windows PC with the steps below:. Download the. Install the driver normally.
A Netgear Genie screen will ask you to plug in the adapter – close it by right-clicking its taskbar button and clicking Close. Optionally disable the “WNDA3100v2.exe” startup entry using to stop Netgear Genie from bothering you every startup. Connect the LG adapter to your PC. Open Device Manager, right-click the unknown “Remote Download Wireless Adapter” device, select “Update Driver”, choose to browse for driver software, then to pick from a list of device drivers. Select the “Network adapters” category, wait for it to load, scroll down to “Netgear” and select the “Netgear WNDA3100v2 N600 Wireless Dual Band USB Adapter”. Ignore the warning about driver compatibility.
After following these steps, Wi-Fi should be working. If it doesn’t, you have the wrong adapter, or you’ve done something wrong.
No one mentioned that you have to have the LG WIFI USB Dongle plugged in, in order to see the.inf file or the remote download wireless adapter that you right click on. Once you get into Device manager, plug in your wfan-100 usb stick and it will pop up halfway down the page. I tried and tried until i stuck it in and then it showed that option. The other thing is this crappy instruction dont tell you how to connect to it, set it up or how to use it as a repeater booster anteni or just a hotspot seperate from your normal wifi. Youll have to get what you can from this then go to youtube to finish the other half of what you need unless your really good with a pc all ready.

The only device I can't get at is the Wireless LAN Adapter. I would really appreciate a bit of help Kind regards Torben Press the F12 key to turn on the wireless when you are booted into Windows. Does the wireless led light up? The driver is at your support pages. Best regards, erico. Hi, trugge2 wrote: 1) Yes, the blue light goes on OK when pressing F12 2) I have been on your recommended page, but there are 10 different drivers for Networks to choose from. How do I decide which one to pick?
Kind regards Torben Oh yes.I noticed that. Life is never simple. There are ways to determine what you have installed. One way is to open the cover for memory modules on the bottom of the case. Remove the memory modules and then get the information from the wireless module itself. That is a bit hardcore for most notebook owners.
You can go this route. Start-type devmgmt.msc and then select devmgmt. Device manager will open. Now look at the network adapters section and expand it. The wireless adapter will be the one that has a yellow exclamation point indicationg no driver installed.

Select it and right click it and select properties. Now the adapter property windows will open. Go to the Details tab and use the dropdown to get to the hardware ids. That is what you need to post here. Once you have done that, lots of us here have the resources to identify the manufacturer and model that is installed. Then yo can download it from the HP website.
I don't recommend trying all of the different drivers at the website to see which one works. That can have unintended and disastrous results on your installed wireless module. Best regards, erico. Hi, trugge2 wrote: Yes life is difficult at times.
Looking at Device MAnager, Network Adapaters only displays one network adapter, namely: RealTek PCIe FE Family Controller There is no adapter for wireless lan Ok. The for your notebook is here. Print out page 47,48 an 49. Opening your notebook up to get to the module is not a difficult task if you have any technical skill at all.
It is just as it is detailed in the manual. There are only two screws to remove and two wires(antenna) connected to the module with a type of connector clip.
You will need a jewelers philips screwdriver to do this and a place or plastic bag to put the two screws in. If you can see the manufacturer's name and model number without removing it once your have the access door then don't remove the antenna connectors nor remove the module. Write down everything that you see on the module and post it here. You can also have this done at a laptop repair shop for a low price as well. Best regards, erico.
